Peace Officers UK is pleased to share an upcoming international event from our Peace Officer in Luxembourg, Nilton, focused on human rights, democratic education, youth participation, and digital citizenship.
The FutureEd initiative brings together educators, youth advocates, democratic education networks, and community organisations to explore how education can better support freedom, participation, dignity, and active citizenship in modern society.

“From Rights to Action: Human Rights, Democratic Education, and Digital Citizenship”
A practical workshop for:
- Teachers
- Educators
- School leaders
- Learning facilitators working with children and young people
The training is aligned with the Council of Europe Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture (RFCDC) and is certified by IFEN.
The event focuses on:
- Human rights in education
- Democratic participation
- Digital citizenship
- Empowering young people through education
- Rights-based educational approaches

The evening includes discussion, exchange, and community dialogue around the future of democratic participation in Europe.

ALLI asbl also continues its engagement regarding educational rights in Luxembourg and has requested discussions with Minister Claude Meisch concerning Bill 8588 on home education.

According to the organisation, the aim is to support a balanced framework that respects:
- Fundamental rights
- Educational freedoms
- Lawful and proportionate oversight
